Leadership Day

We just hosted our second Leadership Day of the year—an intensive all-day training event for select student leaders from local schools. 278 students and 33 teachers attended and learned what it means to be a courageous leader.

At the end of the training, 50 students committed their lives to Christ! With Jesus Christ as the Lord of their life, their leadership potential is increased exponentially!

Some students shared what they learned:

"I've learned that if you want to be a leader, you have to be confident. No one can stop you, but you can stop yourself."

"It is very important to have courage. Courage involves love, power, and a sound mind. I am going to love God and others."

"Having courage means to have faith, power, passion, love, and responsibility to take every step of action towards what you are capable of doing."

Internship News

	Botswana Trip Photos

Several weeks ago, Niel baptized four of our interns in a nearby lake. Each one shared why they had chosen to get baptized, and we all prayed over them as they took that plunge (literally!). It was a holy and special moment, followed by much fun and celebration!

The interns spent two weeks serving fellow missionaries in Maun, Botswana. They restored a missionary home on the base, sanding down the floors, repainting the rooms, tearing out the kitchen, and tiling the bathrooms. Some of them also shared testimonies at the youth group service and they all assisted with children's ministry during Sunday morning service. The interns served with all their hearts, and made us very proud!

See Our Program in Action

Our AIDS prevention program does more than promote abstinence. The first half of the year, we are teaching a curriculum called Living on Purpose. As we teach 3,700 students in 7th, 8th, and 9th grade that God created them for a purpose, we are giving them the gift of hope. Many students have said that it's the first time they've been told their lives have purpose.

We are seeing students' lives transformed as they choose to follow Christ, grab hold of His plan for their lives, and commit to living God's way.
