"Stand Strong" Youth Camps
Stand Strong Youth Camps

This month we impacted 345 teens at two
back-to-back youth camps!
It was amazing to see these underprivileged young people grab hold of God's truth that they can stand strong in Him. Many of them committed their lives to the Lord.

With activities such as paintball, volleyball, balloon launching, PlayStation, and an obstacle course, the youth had a lot of fun!

In keeping with our Stand Strong theme, we had a team of muscle-men perform at the camp. The young people were captivated as the "Strongmen for Jesus" lifted heavy objects and
gave glory to God, using their feats of strength as
a platform to talk about God's strength in and through us.

We were blessed to have Leon DeHaan and Ralph & Cathy Collins as speakers at both camps. They have a huge heart for the youth of South Africa, and the students were greatly encouraged by their messages of hope and strength in the Lord.

What the kids had to say about camp!

Youth Camp

"During this camp I became a born again believer. God has taken away my fear and made me
strong again."

Youth Camp

"God really worked in my heart during this camp. He showed me that no matter what color or nationality we are, we are
all the same."

Training Pastors & Leaders
  Training Pastors & Leaders
We hosted a two-day Hand in Hand seminar in Qwa Qwa for pastors and church leaders. The theme of the conference was Built to Last, covering topics such as building a healthy, strong, and growing church and studying God's Word effectively. 100 pastors and leaders attended the seminar!

The International Bible Society of South Africa partnered with us for this event, providing each pastor with a Study Bible and other study resources. The pastors were so thankful for the study material as well as the teachings they received during the seminar.

"In the forty-seven years I have been a minister, I have
never heard the Word of God taught the way I did at this
seminar! Almighty God revealed Himself to me."

"I used to read the Bible but with no understanding.
Now I have learned how to read with understanding!"

Outreach Continues

We recently hosted a mission team from the International Bible Society; team members came from Evergreen Christian Fellowship (Seattle, WA), Christ Church (Seattle, WA), and Central Christian Church (Lancaster, CA). The team took part in four different outreaches simultaneously: a pastoral training conference, medical work in a local clinic, teaching our AIDS prevention program in the public schools, and relationship evangelism. The doctors treated over 200 patients during the week, and even assisted with a baby delivery!

This team was a tremendous blessing to us and to the Basotho people whose lives they impacted through their service!
